After playing hometown dates at local festivals in 2016, Faouzia’s burgeoning career started to blossom. She has since taken the stage at Toronto’s Yonge & Dundas Square for Canada’s Walk Of Fame Festival, and played one high profile event after another, wowing audiences with her heart-wrenching lyrics and magnetic stage presence.
Switching seamlessly between composing songs in English and French, Faouzia follows her well-tuned instinct when songwriting. Her first single “Knock On My Door” found its way onto regular rotation at Canadian radio, and the follow up “My Heart’s Grave” is already seeing adds in both Canada, and her native Morocco. Another accolade that the teen can add to her already impressive résumé is that of an award-winner. In early 2017, Faouzia became the first Canadian in history to win the Grand Prize award for the International Songwriting Competition, besting over 16,000 entries from137 countries, and a few short months later, was awarded the Grand Prize for the Unsigned Only Music Competition (6,000 entries from 90 countries). Faouzia was the first ever teen to win each award.

Just because this song might not fit the genre or sound she's going for, doesn't mean she shouldn't claim it and play it on the radio, Twenty One Pilots plays so many genres is not even funny, and that band is flipping amazing, I think adding variety in her songs is good, not bad.
