The girls trained for an average of four years; two years since the formation of the group. They released a song and music video with their label-mate, IU, titled "달빛바다 (Sea of Moonlight)" and later released a pre-debut single titled "Wicked" featuring Tiger JK. They released their first single "Vista" on August 31, 2012.
In May 2018, it was announced that Fiestar officially disbanded following their contract expiration.
