For three days, under the guidance of Mad Professor and his son Joe Ariwa, were recorded in studies of the Faculty of Arts at the Universidad Javeriana several issues to be addressed under the aesthetic of Dub.
Besides recording original Frente compositions, part of the project sought to bring together key players in the Bogota scene to improvise and create together in studio. Of those improvisations came three collective compositions, in addition to 4 Frente originals for a total of 7 songs that were remixed with Dub techniques by Mad Professor in his London Ariwa studio. The result of the album, as well as becoming one of the first tangible encounters between Cumbia and Dub, brings a new sound to the powerful Colombian cumbia movement.

@jonnyhatter35
considering how crazy the world is right now, seeing japanese musicians play colombian cumbia is a breath of fresh air.
@arce.hector
Cumbia was invented in Colombia but adopted in El Salvador and I’ll be honest the cumbias from El Salvador are the best. The difference is Salvi cumbia use trumpets and the Colombian use Acordians..
Viva El Salvador and Colombia
@estebanphdz3775
Cumbias are colombian but this type of cumbia is mexicana los angeles azules style
@ElCapitanThird
esteban phdz reason they say it’s colombian is because their ‘Cumbia del Monte Fuji’ is similar to Pedro Laza’s ‘Cumbia del Monte’
