i dont think he wanted to change everything specifically for the worse, only that he wanted true change. and the only way for that to come to fruition is through a total systematic change of the world, i.e. blowing up the cradles and killing millions of people.

Maximillain Thermidor Yea man I feel you I mean those fuckers nerfed the ER-O200 soo bad I mean in AC4 it was pretty a easy game since it was powerful also it has no ammo cost and the range is pretty decent with a good fire rate and enough ammo or energy for a 1v2 if you are conservative, but now in AC4A it has crap energy capacity only enough for a 1v1 it's fire rate is comparable to the Karasawa but damage is still the same which is bad I mean a slight damage increase is fine it would cope with the capacity

AC, at it's core, for the player, is about being the most skilled pilot, and the best mech builder. At it's core of the plots, you're somewhat right.. except that we often see our ravens either died, remained nameless, or ascended in to being gods of death who now seek only a violent, senseless end on the battlefield. So it's all about the fight and the rise to the top. To be the strongest and the best. To be unmatched in war.. and the price you and sometimes the world pays as a result.

Remember in the briefing about Assault Cells (AC:FA), there are 2 colonies already in space.
All this dedicated tech w/ AC5 would be gone, if those colonies didn't take the same paths that Earth did, they'd be 100% technologically superior.
So, in short, yes, NEXTs in space is a 100%+ possiblity, lore-wise.

Strider_ Killer The possibility is minimal. As a NEXT would need to have weapons that are pretty much recoiless so it won't lose balance. Plus a air supply to keep the pilot alive as they are human beings. And one more thing. The Primal Armor has to go. As it cannot work in space since the vacuum of space has a resistance of infinity so the electric current won't active the shield. Also the propulsion seems pretty good.

The Raven represents the will of the individual and the desire of the individual to carve their own fate and not walk a pre-determined path. All Ravens have their own paths they wish to follow whether that be the path of War, Peace or simply a path that makes them feel as though they 'existed.' However It is the one with power that will finish his path and all of the Ravens that fall to this 'All Powerful One' have had their fates decided and must follow what the 'One' has determined for them.

Truly a near masterful piece in AC's arsenal it goes with the speed and tone of the action and compliments it just as some of the other scores in the game...the game itself has a lot of potential to one of the most sophisticated greats among mech action titles and should be crowned as one of the better mech action adventure shooters I just hope it comes back with this style and detail as ACFA did...this is a bombshell of a game amongst its predecessors especially on the ps2 console and deserves as many encores as they can make

It sounds like Oni has the same criticism that I do, in that something in the tempo of the game changed between Silent Line and IV; the storytelling *does* feel different; I can tell you I personally didn't like anything after SL, but what really killed it is that it no longer feels like you're in a hulking war machine. It feels like you're a metal DBZ character, flitting about the stage. The hyper-focus on speed/dodging made me question...why am I in a mecha again?

SeraphimRising I grew up playing Formula Front, 3 and LR on psp. Sure these are more tactical and down to earth games but none of these offer the sheer thrill of battle present in 4 and 4A. ACFA is a perfect blend of combat, enviroment and especially music. It’s almost like a Final Fantasy game. And to make it even better it has a multiplayer scene that is still present (check the subreddit Discord for that).

It majorly departed from what Armored Core is. You don't even use actual Armored Cores, you use advance next-gen machines called NEXT's and eat normal AC's for breakfast. The one time you fight a Normal vet, he tries to pilot his NEXT the way we used to have to, and they make fun of him for it, in effect making fun of older players who don't like having to adapt to this new style. The plot in 4 was awful (fA was better). The balancing in both were also awful. Quickboost/turn is dumb too. =)
