Already well-known for a local fan base, Faber Drive released a limited edition three-song EP under the band name Faber. Due to legal issues, the band changed their name to Faber Drive.
Discovered by Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, and signed to his 604 Records label, Faber Drive released their debut album, Seven Second Surgery, on May 1, 2007.
The first single from Seven Second Surgery is "Second Chance", and the second single is "Tongue Tied".
The third single "When I'm With You" was previewed a month before it was released on Canadian gossip website isthishappening.com.
Faber Drive's "Second Chance" won a 2008 Canadian Radio Music Award for Best New Hot AC Band of The Year.
The second album by Faber Drive, "Can't Keep a Secret", is set to release on November 10, 2009. The first single from the album, "G-Get Up and Dance!" has now released on radio and iTunes. The second single from the album, "Give Him Up" has been released on radio and iTunes.

I must've missed your message
You got it wrong, It wasn't what your friend said.
Tell by your tone, I've taken it too far again.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and fixed it all again.)
Your friends are telling you, You gotta move on.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and wrecked it all again.)
I don't know why i ever waited to say.
Cause I'm just dying just to see you again
Instead of holding you, I was holding out.
I should've let you in, but I let you down.
You were the first to give ,I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.
I should've known, took you and I for granted
Gotta let you know, I was never underhanded.
Tell by your tone, I've taken it too far again.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and fixed it all again.)
My friends are telling me they saw you with someone.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and wrecked it all again.)
You turned around so I could tell you what took so long.
I don't know why i ever waited to say.
Cause I'm just dying just to see you again .
Instead of holding you, I was holding out.
I should've let you in, but I let you down.
You were the first to give ,I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.
My last mistake, putting my friends first.
I tried to laugh it off but I made things worse.
You were the first to give, I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.
What you give is always what you get.
There's so much I haven't given yet.
If you could give another second chance.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and fixed it all again.)
My friends are telling me they saw you with someone.
(Just when I thought I'd gone and wrecked it all again.)
You turned around so I could tell you what took so long.
I don't know why I ever waited to say.
Cause I'm just dying just to see you.
Instead of holding you, I was holding out.
I should've let you in, but I let you down.
You were the first to give ,I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.
My last mistake, putting my friends first.
I tried to laugh it off but I made things worse.
You were the first to give I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place to get a second chance.
Instead of holding you, I was holding out.
I should've let you in, but I let you down.
You were the first to give ,I was the first to ask.
Now I'm in second place, to get a second chance.
The song "Second Chance" by Faber Drive is about a relationship gone wrong and the regret and longing felt afterwards. The first verse reveals that the singer missed a message from their partner and was subsequently misunderstood, leading to a fight or break-up. The chorus describes the singer's realization that they made mistakes by not being fully present in the relationship and not valuing their partner's efforts enough. They acknowledge that their actions have caused them to lose their partner's trust and love, leaving them in second place for a second chance.
The second verse starts with the singer admitting to taking their partner for granted and wanting to make things right. They also reveal that they heard rumors of their partner moving on, adding to the urgency of wanting to reconcile. The bridge of the song acknowledges that the singer's mistake was prioritizing their friends over their partner, and not giving enough to the relationship. They ask for another chance from their partner, hoping that they will understand the depth of their regret.
Overall, "Second Chance" is a poignant song about realizing the value of a relationship after it has been lost, and the hope for a second chance at love.
