1) Fabiano Anthony Forte (born February 6, 1943, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania),is an American teen idol of the late 1950s and early 1960s. He rose to national prominence after performing several times on American Bandstand. In total, he charted 11 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
abian was discovered in 1957 by Bob Marcucci and Peter DeAngelis, owners of Chancellor Records. At the time, record producers were looking to the South Philadelphia neighborhoods in search of teenage talents with good looks, and Frankie Avalon, also of South Philly, suggested Fabian as a possibility.
With songwriters Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, Fabian released a series of hit singles for Chancellor Records including "I'm a Man", "Hound Dog Man", a #9 hit in the U.S., "Turn Me Loose" (U.S. #9), and his biggest hit, "Tiger", which reached number 3 in the U.S. charts. Other singles that charted included "String Along", "About This Thing Called Love" and "This Friendly World", which reached #12 on the U.S. charts.
His career in music basically ended after he bought out of his contract with Marcucci after signing a seven-year contract with 20th Century Fox. During the payola scandal of the 1960s, Fabian testified before Congress that his recordings had been doctored electonically to significantly improve his voice.

@@kwk8363 depends on the use, like someone said, for prototyping, the amount of degradation won’t be noticeable if its only for a prototype,

Same if you only needed a small scale assuming you aren’t trying to wear it down,

Also depends on the filament, some filaments are made with ceramic, which wouldn’t fair too well for obvious reasons, but then there is also pla+ which is strong, but shit in the heat (lower melting tempature), same filaments are really durable without the heat susceptibility as well,

For example if you get cheapo PLA and tried something like this it may actually just break on you cause its much more brittle,

But if your using PLA+ it’ll last much much longer as its durable enough for just normal cosplay where your cosplays are at risk of being dropped multiple times, or bumped into and etc,

And then there are just actual 3D printers which use metals which I’m not really including cause its a drastic change in filament, changing the majority of what it is lol,

There is also what your using it for which in this case is a Wind Turbine, a wind mill pretty much, I’d imagine on the scale it is and speed it’d most likely run at, it degrading wouldn’t matter again unless they were like purposely testing how fast it can go or how much force and whatever could go wrong with it

Those usually cost less than entire wind turbines. Even if you couldn't get them, it's entirely possible to make 3dp bearings

@@fnafinatic09 exactly, i got some bb gun bearings and some galvanised garden wire, and so far its pretty practical to make bearings that dont have any plastic on plastic friction, that are cheaper than all metal bearings, and would be very useful for applications like this.

Wouldn't be that expensive or difficult. Gears and bearings are cheap, scrapyards are full of scrap metal and everyone knows at least one person that knows how to weld. the most expensive part would be the generator which you need to buy anyways.

i can say from taking on the task of designing and printind a torsen differential orbital set that a helical bevel gear set like the one shown is a NIGHTMARE to figure out xD
(straight cut bevel gear set not so hard, helical like that one.... took me longer than the entier rest off the differential too draft in Fuison lol)

I'd like to build one 4x that size or larger, and print some molds, to make blades from carbon or kevlar reinforced fiberglass, and foam insulation, maybe epoxy coated cardboard, to create a light strong blade, maybe eventually make carbon blades, I need blades about 6'-7' long, on a 12" hub, with 5-7 blades, capable of 350-500- watts in average low winds and more in higher winds, in the 1200-1500 watt range, I need multiple turbines, about 6 with such capability, 12'-15' turbine and capable of making useful power!!

.... but a wind turbine can be made with some angle irons bolts magnets and copper windings with no 3d printing at all. It's not expensive in the least. It's perhaps a bit tedious but not all that complex as such things go.
