I wanna keep you in my view
Why'd you try to break away?
Wish that I was still
by your side ...
Finally I'm so lost
Took my heart away so far
Why'd you break away?
I'm not crying ...
And out of all my words
which were the poison ones?
All my thoughts,
what made it go so wrong?
Tell me, I'm here for you
Tell Tell me, I'm here for you
And out of all my words
which were the poison ones?
All my thoughts,
what made it go so wrong?
Tell me, I'm here for you
Tell Tell me, I'm here for you
I can't get through to you
I wanna keep you in my view
Why'd you try to break away?
Wish that I was still
by your side ...
Finally I'm so lost
Took my heart away so far
Why'd you break away?
Wish that you could see
I'm not crying ...
No light can get in here,
and I am all but lost
When I pass from this world
to the next one and I'm gone
Here's a thing that
I know will be true forever
So my body and my bones
may not be here anymore
But I'll still hold a small
piece of you deep within my soul
I can't get through to you
I wanna keep you in my view
Why'd you try to break away?
Wish that I was still
by your side ...
Finally I'm so lost
Took my heart away so far
Why'd you break away?
Wish that you could see
I'm not crying ...
The song "Crying" by Fact is a heart-wrenching tale of a failed relationship where the singer finds himself unable to connect with his partner. The opening lines of the song convey this sense of estrangement as the singer laments that he "can't get through" to his loved one. He goes on to express his wish to remain close to the person he cares about, but for some reason, his attempts to do so have failed. The question of why the partner is trying to break away is left unanswered, but it is clear that the singer is struggling to deal with the distance between them.
The chorus repeats this sense of loss as the singer sings about how he wishes he could be with his partner again. The line "finally, I'm so lost" adds a melancholic tone to the song, as the singer seems to have given up on trying to keep the relationship together. However, he still wants his partner to know that he is not "crying" over the situation. Instead, he is trying to understand what went wrong and why things fell apart.
The final verse of the song takes a more philosophical turn, as the singer reflects on the nature of existence and the fact that we are all temporary beings. He acknowledges that he may no longer be around in physical form, but that a part of him will always be connected to his partner. This reinforces the theme of the song, which is the struggle to maintain connections with those we love, even when circumstances conspire to drive us apart.
