The Other Side
Fade Lyrics

'bout a little girl
She broke my heart
When I was five
I've got so old now
Where's the other half of my heart
I just can't find it, the other side
I'm gonna tell you a story
She broke my heart
When I was five
I've got so old now
Where's the other half of my heart
I just can't find it, the other side [3x]
The lyrics to Fade's song, "The Other Side," tell a poignant story about heartbreak and longing. The singer starts by describing a little girl who broke his heart when he was only five years old. His pain is so deep that he spends his entire life searching for the other half of his heart. Despite growing older, he cannot shake the feeling that something is missing. He cannot find the other side of his heart, and the pain continues to haunt him.
At its core, this song is about the universal experience of loss and longing. The singer's words are simple but powerful, conveying a deep sense of sadness and regret. The theme of lost love is one that resonates with listeners all over the world, and Fade's song taps into this emotional wellspring with honesty and vulnerability.
Overall, "The Other Side" is a heart-wrenching song that will strike a chord with anyone who has experienced the pain of loss. Through his lyrics, Fade captures the essence of what it means to be human: to love deeply and to mourn what is lost.

I'm gotta tell you a story
I am about to share with you a tale
'bout a little girl
Of a young female child
She broke my heart
Who caused me emotional pain
When I was five
During my early childhood years
I've got so old now
As I have grown up and aged
Where's the other half of my heart
I am searching for the part of me that feels incomplete
I just can't find it, the other side
I am unable to locate the missing piece
I'm gonna tell you a story
Once again, I will recount a tale
'bout a little girl
About that same young female child
She broke my heart
Who still holds a place in my heart
When I was five
From when I was just a child
I've got so old now
And have grown and aged even more
Where's the other half of my heart
Yet I still search for the part of me that feels incomplete
I just can't find it, the other side
I am still unable to locate the missing piece

at (Not using the 1 1/2 guard) 5:24 when you mention about using the back of the blade instead of the front blades to avoid lines. Isn't that like kinda giving a 1.75 ?
(using the back blade only, Making it a little bit longer.)
Like if you use the front blades you would create a line.
So now here is my question.
Is using the 1 1/2 guard with the lever in middle is equal to the 1.75 as well ? Is that why you say it's easier and to preferably just to use the 1 1/2 guard ?
I'm asking this because when I cut my own hair I've noticed that when I skip the 1 1/2 guard I tend to create another line(It's hard to use the back blade on the back of my head.) And when I do use the 1 1/2 guard my blends look way better. That's what I mean by using the back blade and creating the "1.75" number. whether If I just use the 1 1/2 guard and set the lever to the middle I create the "1.75" and don't really have to use the back blade as much.
Thanks in advance !

@@DavidFallaEspanol okay but what happens if I don't have the 1 1/2 gaurd ? Wouldn't I just use the 1 lever all the way open to create the .5 ? to make it a 1 1/2?
lever all the way open means .5
lever all the way close means 0
lever halfway means .25
? I am a noob lol

I'm here as a hair stylist (8 years of experience) and I would like to perfect my barbering skills - this video was way more then what I learnt in school. Thank you for the video.

We learned a lot from you, Mr. Fadi. Long live the hands. The beautiful thing is that you show us on the camera the number of the shaving comb for the machine, thank you.

My fiancé is a police officer and she likes to keep her hair very short— I’ve been wanting to learn how to cut her hair since it grows really fast and she doesn’t always have time to go to the barber or we want to spend our time off together— this was really helpful. :) hopefully I can keep her looking clean between cuts
@michaelonly3583
Erin one small bit of advice I learned long ago in Barber College. Always remember you can always cut more off if its too long but once you cut it off you cant put it back. What does that mean Michael??! Until you are comfortable with your finances hair and the clippers ALWAYS START WITH A BIGGER GUARD THEN YOU NEED AND THE LEVER OPEN THEN WORK YOUR WAY DOWN TO THE SIZE YOU NEED. Been using little reminder in my head for over 20 years!! Good luck!!
@michaelonly3583
Sorry for the typo.
@ericespinoza5322
I never knew there was a guard for 1.5! That looks easy. I used a 2 guard. Then used a 1 guard. And to blend the 2 into 1, I used the 1 guard, with the blades open. I don’t know if this technique alone blends if the best but it works for me.
@alexandersandino1988
It all depends on what clippers you use. Some clippers extend all the way to a 1. And others extend to a .5.
What clippers are you using brand and model ?
@funspeedcuber9363
