The lyrics to Fairuz's song Ya Chabi Ou Sahbi paint a picture of deep despair and loss of faith. The singer specifically addresses her people and her friend, questioning where their loyalty and love has gone. She compares their treatment of her to that of an enemy or murderer, leaving her exposed and vulnerable like a naked victim of theft. The singer then turns her attention to Mary, the mother of Jesus, begging for her mercy and asking her to ease her pain. Finally, she addresses her father, lamenting the fact that he has abandoned her in her time of need and expressing the anguish that has left her feeling breathless and broken.
Overall, the song reflects a deep sense of betrayal and abandonment, with the singer feeling utterly alone in the face of great hardship. Through her powerful lyrics, she conveys a sense of longing and desperation, calling out for help and support from those she once considered her closest allies.
