I hope that you will never experience hunger, but if you do, I hope you will be able to find food

I hope that no one will harass or intimidate you, in any way, shape or form

I hope that you will never engage in any form of bullying behavior

I hope that you will find someone who you truly care for and who will return that affection

I hope that you will have a healthy and long life, and not die prematurely

I hope that you won't feel guilty for things that you are not responsible for

For things that are not your fault
I hope that you won't feel responsible or to blame for things that are not your doing

I hope that you're making the most of your time and opportunities in life

And I hope you'll visit me when I'm old
I hope that even when you grow up, you'll spare some time to visit me every once in a while, as I'll grow older

I hope you are true to yourself
I hope that you won't pretend to be someone who you are not, in order to fit in

I hope that rejection doesn't stop you loving
I hope that in case you experience rejection, it won't stop you from loving and being loved

I hope you never experience war
I hope that you will never have to face the devastation and destruction of a war

I am overwhelmed with emotion and joy, seeing you and holding you

Oh my son, what have I done?
What kind of a world have I brought you into?

Brought perfection to this world
I hope that bringing you into this world will improve it and help it become a better place

Of confusion heedlessly
Even though it's a chaotic and unclear world, you'll always have my support and guidance

Now you're the one feeding me
Even though I brought you into this world, you are feeding me with your love and joy

Because I never knew love like this
I never experienced love like this, unconditional and pure
