In 2004, the band independently recorded and released an EP titled Make a Dent. In October of 2004, the band signed a record deal with Roadrunner Records.[1] Their self titled debut album Faktion was produced by Brett Hestla (Dark New Day) & Justin Thomas, and was recorded at Gridlock Studios in Orlando, Florida. The album was released on March 21, 2006.
Just eight months after their album was released, the band announced they had parted ways with Roadrunner.[2] They are said to be working on new material with the anticipation of releasing a new album in 2008.
The band independently released a five track b-side disc on March 20, 2007. On May 3, 2007, the band announced Gibbs' departure to pursue other opportunities. The band announced Aaron Pose as their new lead singer on August 16th, 2007.

Lesson learned, my hands are steady
One more day, and I'll be home
Living with regret of what I've done
How could I waste what we have on her
We can't go out that way
I go to sleep by your side almost every night
As it presses against mine
Now that I'm so far from home
I know you're sleeping alone
You're hoping that I remember what you mean to me
I've always known where I was heading
Forgetting the fact that you're not ready
It's six o' clock, I'm all alone
Missing all I've left at home
How could I waste what we have on her
We can't go out that way
I go to sleep by your side almost every night
I crave the feeling of your skin,
As it presses against mine
Now that I'm so far from home
I know you're sleeping alone
You're hoping that I remember what you mean to me
I'm lost without you
I go to sleep by your side almost every night
I crave the feeling of your skin,
As it presses against mine
Now that I'm so far from home
I know you're sleeping alone
You're hoping that I remember what you mean to me
I remember what you mean to me
The song "Six O' Clock" by Faktion is a hauntingly beautiful ballad about a man who is away from home and missing his significant other. The lyrics describe his regret about the actions he has taken, which have caused him to be separated from the person he loves. The song starts with the line "Six o' clock and I'll be ready", which suggests that the man has a sense of urgency and is determined to make things right in his relationship. He seems to have learned his lesson and has become more responsible, evidenced by the line "Lesson learned, my hands are steady".
The lyric "How could I waste what we have on her" suggests that the man may have been unfaithful, and he is now filled with regret over his actions. He realizes that his actions have put the future of his relationship in jeopardy, and he is desperate to save it. The line "We can't go out that way" suggests that he is willing to do whatever it takes to fix his broken relationship. The chorus is particularly effective, with the repetition of the line "I go to sleep by your side almost every night, I crave the feeling of your skin…" conveying the depth of his love for his partner.
Overall, the song is a powerful and emotional plea for forgiveness and for the healing of a relationship. It is poignant and moving, with a sense of longing and regret that is palpable in every line.
