Yeah, personally, I think when he says "I miss missing you", he's talking about missing the feeling of wanting somebody. He doesn't necessarily want whoever he's missing, but he wants those emotions again, the ones that he doesn't have anymore. He misses being in love, he misses feeling. It's quite sad, actually.

Now that im over my toxic friend. i miss the feeling i got when i was around my old friends. i dont miss them coz i know that in situations they did wrong me, but I miss the relationship type we had where we were very fun and playful and close and very affectionate. i know i wont get that again and i miss it honestly
