Sapphire
Fallujah (Us) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I’ve wanted this all along
A concrete beating heart
A landscape I can bleed up-on
This dark city my breeding ground

Nails within the darkened sand
Artificial light ascends
Clarity of vision breaks
The shackling of days ahead
Taken from the solace of home
Veins reclaimed by hardened stone

Take me from my solace
This dark city’s mine again

I’ve wanted this all along
This dark city
My breeding ground

The streets are whispering

The hope is in my veins
Clawing & deprived
A hopeful heart will waste
Every moment of precious time

Helpless as I watch my dreams divide

I’ve wanted this all along
A concrete beating heart
A landscape I can bleed upon
This dark city my breeding ground

Artificial light ascends
The path of which my heart accepts

This. This is it. This is what metal metal must evolve into. A blend of technicality, aggression, raw emotion, brutality and beauty. Composition, combined with imaginative and colorful soundscapes.

@dickbutt69

No, putting Metal in a box makes it weak and that's how shit end up Dead.

@@dickbutt69 Exactly, this is good but so is Baroness. What separates those bands (both relatively within "metal")?

Fallujah has waaay too much compression. I'd like to see them try something a little more streamlined from Fallujah. I'd like to see Baroness get a little heavier like on Blue or Red.

Two good bands from relatively the same genre.

@rsaldivar8

@@TheAcidDrip i hear everything just fine doesn't sound compressed in my opinion
