The lyrics to Fally Ipupa's song "Mon bébé" speak of a love that is hard to let go of. The first verse expresses the feeling of missing a loved one's presence and the memories that keep coming back. Despite trying to move on, the singer cannot seem to shake off their ex-lover's hold on them. They ask for forgiveness and plea for their partner to come back to them. The second verse introduces the idea of a lavish lifestyle that someone is trying to provide for the singer's ex-partner but the singer emphasizes that the man will never love the singer's lover as much as they did. The repeated "Na leli yo" is a Lingala phrase that means "I miss you".
The chorus is a warning to the singer's ex-partner to be wary of men who can offer them materialistic pleasures but can never love them as much as the singer does. The phrase "malgré tout" in French translates to "despite everything" which emphasizes the singer's belief that he loves his partner more than anyone else ever could. The last repetition of "Na leli yo" is a final cry for his lover to come back to him.
Overall, the lyrics to "Mon bébé" speak of an intense love that is difficult to forget which is emphasized by the repeated phrase "Na leli yo". The singer warns their ex-partner to be careful of pursuing materialistic relationships as they will never find love as genuine as what they had with the singer.
