In 2012 the band won the contest "Som Para Todos", which included a concert at the Planeta Terra Festival in São Paulo and a distribution contract with Deckdisc.
According to keyboardist Chris Botarelli, the band's name does not mean anything special; it was a mere sugestion of vocalist Emily Barreto's mother that ended up pleasing the band members after they failed to reach an agreement.[2] At the same occasion, she also explained that the band don't see a problem at writing English lyrics since the public from Rio Grande do Norte (the band's home state) has been receiving it well.
In October 2012, the band released their first EP, Stereochrome, with four tracks. In may 2014, it was released their first album by Deckdisc, modeHuman, containing 15 tracks including four songs re-recorded from the EP.
In 2014, they played at the FIFA Fan Fest event in Natal, during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Tá, tá, eu entendo que a galera é do Brasil e vocês querem ouvir musica em português, mas a banda não seria irada se tocasse em português. Rock inglês sempre foi e sempre será melhor que em português. Tem algo sobre a origem da língua ser gutural que beneficia a musica. E na minha opinião, a banda toca em inglês, pois assim ela tem mais visibilidade e aceitação. Pq convenhamos que aqui no Brasil uma banda tocando esse estilo não tem muito pra onde crescer

@Victor Monteiro Musical pq vc tá acostumado a ouvir só porcaria, espero esses 4 anos tenham mudado sua visão musical kk. Oq não falta são nomes na MPB antiga e atual pra desbancar a besteira vc falou. Mas em questão a visibilidade x rock, com certeza a banda fez o correto. E mesmo que não, cada um escolhe o melhor pra si mesmo. Não há pq ficar nessa rixa de qual lingua é melhor.

Saulo Nascimento também acho que algumas línguas funcionam melhor em determinados estilos. Não quer dizer que não existam exceções. No caso do rock brasileiro cantado em português, acho cachorro grande um exemplo que deu certo. Por sua vez, Angra gravou um baião cantado em inglês, que eu achei muito estranho. Preferi a versão cantada em português (Caça e Caçador).

Na verdade Scalene corrobora o ponto do Gabriel. O vocalista do Scalene claramente tem que forjar um sotaque estrangeiro e "melodizar" muito mais pra dar certo, se não fica uma bosta. Além disso a banda que cante na língua que quiser e que julgar a que melhor se adéqua à proposta da banda, ninguém tem que dar palpite ou desmerecer essa escolha
