In 2012 the band won the contest "Som Para Todos", which included a concert at the Planeta Terra Festival in São Paulo and a distribution contract with Deckdisc.
According to keyboardist Chris Botarelli, the band's name does not mean anything special; it was a mere sugestion of vocalist Emily Barreto's mother that ended up pleasing the band members after they failed to reach an agreement.[2] At the same occasion, she also explained that the band don't see a problem at writing English lyrics since the public from Rio Grande do Norte (the band's home state) has been receiving it well.
In October 2012, the band released their first EP, Stereochrome, with four tracks. In may 2014, it was released their first album by Deckdisc, modeHuman, containing 15 tracks including four songs re-recorded from the EP.
In 2014, they played at the FIFA Fan Fest event in Natal, during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The New Heal
Far From Alaska Lyrics

Sunset is not the same ‘cause my eyes are closed
Is not that I’m all loose, I just wanna feel
Feel the dawn in peace so my brain can heal
Here’s where I stand so don’t say a word
The pain is consuming me ‘cause my heart is hurt
Go find some new air now, I'm begging to breathe
Grab my hands until
‘Till it’s calm again
Grab my hands until
You
Here’s where I stand so don’t say a word
Sunset is not the same ‘cause my eyes are closed
Is not that I’m all loose, I just wanna feel
Feel the dawn in peace so my brain can heal
Here’s where I stand so don’t say a word
The pain is consuming me ‘cause my heart is hurt
Go find some new air now, I'm begging to breathe
Breathe for something more so my lungs can speak
Grab my hands until
‘Till it’s calm again
Grab my hands until
You
These lyrics from Far From Alaska's song The New Heal seem to be about someone who is struggling with emotional pain and trauma. The singer of the song seems to be looking for a moment of peace and healing, and is asking their listener to help them through it. The lines "Here's where I stand so don't say a word" are repeated throughout the song, and suggest that the singer needs to be present in the moment without any distractions or interruptions. The description of the sunset not being the same because the singer's eyes are closed could imply that they are trying to shut out the world around them in order to focus on their own healing.
The lines "The pain is consuming me 'cause my heart is hurt" and "Go find some new air now, I'm begging to breathe" suggest that the singer is feeling overwhelmed and may be struggling to cope. The repetition of the phrase "grab my hands until it's calm again, you" could be interpreted as a plea for reassurance and support from the listener. The singer seems to be looking for a sense of safety and stability that they can't find on their own, and is relying on someone else to guide them through their healing process.
Overall, The New Heal seems to be a powerful song about the difficult and ongoing process of healing. The lyrics are raw and emotional, and convey a sense of vulnerability and desperation that many listeners can likely relate to on some level.
