Anarchy In The UK

Now!
I am an Antichrist
I am an anarchist
Don′t know what I want but
I know how to get it
I wanna destroy the passer by
'Cause I
I wanna be anarchy!
No dogsbody
Anarchy for the U.K
It′s coming sometime and maybe
I give a wrong time stop a traffic line
Your future dream is a shopping scheme
'Cause I
I wanna be anarchy!
In the city
How many ways to get what you want
I use the best I use the rest
I use the NME I use anarchy
'Cause I
I wanna be anarchy!
It′s the only way to be
Is this the MPLA
Or is this the UDA
Or is this the IRA
I thought it was the UK or just
Another country
Another council tenancy
I wanna be anarchy
And I wanna be anarchy
Oh what a name
I wanna be an anarchist
Get pissed!
Destroy!
The lyrics to Farben Lehre's song Anarchy In The UK represent a call to arms for those who identify with antichrist and anarchism. The singer does not know what he wants in life, but he knows how to get it. The ultimate goal is to destroy the passerby and to be a symbol of anarchy. The concept of anarchy is expressed as the only way to be truly free, without being a dogsbody (someone who does not think for themselves). The future dream of shopping schemes is criticized as meaningless and unfulfilling.
The singer acknowledges that there are many ways to get what you want, but he chooses to use the best, the rest, the NME, and anarchy. The NME, or New Musical Express, was a music newspaper in the UK that covered punk and alternative music in the 1970s. The singer believes that anarchy is the only way to truly get what one wants in life. The song ends with a call to action to get drunk, destroy, and to be an anarchist.
