Kiedy myślę o Polsce - jestem szczery do głębi
The lyrics of "Choroba Polska" by Farben Lehre express a deep sense of frustration and disappointment with the state of modern-day Poland. The singer declares himself sick of Poland, sick of the lack of progress, and sick of the way the country seems to hold him back from achieving his dreams. The first verse sets the tone, as the singer says he looks Poland straight in the eye but finds the day unpleasant after a bad night's sleep. The second verse paints a bleak picture of grey streets full of dark secrets, with nothing much changing and no chance for dreams to come true. Finally, the third verse addresses a younger generation that seems to be losing its chance at a better future.
It is clear that the singer in this song is deeply disillusioned with his home country and feels that it has failed him and others like him. He is not alone in this feeling, as many young people in Poland have expressed similar frustrations in recent years. Although the song is harsh in its criticism, it is also a call to action, a plea for change, and a reminder that there is still hope for a better future.
