A miejsce wolności zajęły pieniądze
A miejsce miłości zajęły pieniądze
Mamy jeszcze czas
Zamiast tego co mamy
Mamy jeszcze czas
Zamiast tego co mamy
The lyrics to Farben Lehre's song Regemental express the idea that freedom and love have been replaced by money in society. The repetition of the phrase "Nie ma, nie ma, nie ma" (There is no, there is no, there is no) emphasizes the absence of these important values. The first stanza talks about how money has taken the place of freedom, and that people will do anything for money, even kill their own family. The second stanza discusses how money has also overtaken love, and that people only love money. This leads to the idea that without money, one cannot experience freedom or love.
There is no freedom or love, And their place was taken by money, A person without money will not experience freedom, A person without money will not experience love) again emphasizes the theme of money replacing important values. The repetition of "Nie ma" in the chorus gives a feeling of hopelessness and despair, as if there is nothing that can be done to change this situation.
The final lines of the song "Mamy jeszcze czas, Zamiast tego co mamy" (We still have time, instead of what we have) suggest that there is still time to change things, to not focus solely on money and material possessions, but to value freedom and love as well.
Overall, Regemental is a critique of the way society has prioritized money over everything else, and how this can lead to a lack of important values like freedom and love.
