[They] want to play music all year and meet cool people and make some money and not live with [their] parents. Anything you can do to help with those four things would be greatly appreciated. Especially the third one.
3 records (+1 in the works), nearly 500 shows in 40+ states in under 4 years. [They've] been everywhere, except for the places we're on our way to.
This is us:
Luke - Lead vocals, guitar, piano. Has successfully wrestled polar bears on two separate continents (yes, two!). Supposedly, has received his acceptance letter from Hogwarts, even though the school year has already started. Authenticity of letter has yet to be verified. Can maneuver a van and trailer in reverse faster than Jason Bourne in a Mini Cooper on a Parisian side street. Wins gold medals for outstanding facial hair. Once lost his cell phone 42 times in one day.
Marc- Drums, muscle. Has several tattoos that make him look cooler than everyone else in the band (not that it’s hard to do). Still has health insurance. When sporting a stache, he brings forth the ghost of Freddie Mercury. Voted “Most Likely To Not Fail At Life” by the other members in his band. Believes in and is afraid of "Cubicle Trolls". Expert on centaurs.
Robbe- Bass. Real into sleeping. Came in second place on Nickelodeon’s Global Guts after being blinded by a glitter storm (aka snow blizzard) and hitting his opponent’s actuator at the top of the Super Aggro Crag. Still has a crush on Mo, the referee. Secretly wants to be a speed-cuber (someone who can do a Rubik's cube in like 15 seconds). Will never have an actual girlfriend because of that last sentence. Has a pretty good vertical jump.
Rabbit- Lead guitar, mandolin, background vocals. Good at everything, especially eating candy and drinking Mountain Dew. Can impersonate Nicholas Cage better than Nicholas Cage can impersonate himself or anyone else for that matter. Can also accurately identify almost any make and type of ink pens while blindfolded (this is not a joke). Has great posture.
Begin Again
Farewell Flight Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I keep them coming back for more, no matter what I do or say
Watch me heading for the door, because I don't want to hear anymore
There's nothing you could do or say to make me ever want to stay
After all this time you say you don't like yourself, and they tell you, "Get over it." But, you're not happy with the way things worked out
Are you content in your loneliness? Whoa
Stop the wisdom that you're trying to give
You don't know the life I've lived
Stop, stop, stop, stop
All your words are hitting the floor, and I don't want to hear any more
There's nothing you could do or say to make me ever want to change
Doing the best you can
"We'll build you up and make you a man... and then tear you down." Begin again
Just tell them all is fine, "...really, I blame myself, cause I couldn't get over it..." I'm sure as hell not happy with the way things worked out, and now I've nothing to show for it
The lyrics to "Begin Again" by Farewell Flight explore the concept of being tired of the same old patterns and searching for something new. It starts by describing a situation where someone has become disillusioned with their current circumstances, and they feel unfulfilled by what they have been given. They are in a position where they are tired of hearing the same old advice from others, and they just want to leave it all behind. The line "Watch the bodies hitting the floor" could refer to the idea that they have been through this before and seen others give up on their dreams or accept mediocrity.
The next verse goes deeper into the idea of being discontent with one's current status quo. The person is told to be content with their loneliness, but they don't want to be. They are tired of hearing the same advice over and over again, and they feel like no one understands them. They have reached a point where they do not want to hear any more words from others. They feel like they have nothing left to lose and have no desire to change.
The chorus is a call to action, urging the person to begin again. The lyrics "Doing the best you can, we'll build you up and make you a man, and then tear you down, begin again" suggest that even if the person tries their best and succeeds, they will eventually be brought down and forced to start over. The song ends with the person being honest that they are not content with their situation and have nothing to show for it.
