Stay here with me
Don't make me cry
I wont you by my side
If you should leave me
You'll break my heart
I love you so
Baby please don't go
You heard my story
I'm sang my song
Baby please don't go
Don't leave me alone
The lyrics of Fats Domino's song "Baby Please" are those of a pleading lover desperately trying to convince their significant other not to leave them. The lyrics convey a sense of vulnerability and honesty, as the singer confesses their love and begs their partner to stay. The repetition of "baby please don't go" throughout the song emphasizes the desperation of the singer and the importance of their partner's presence in their life.
The opening lines "stay here with me, don't make me cry" are a direct plea to the partner not to leave, followed by "I want you by my side" which drives home the need for the partner's presence. The line "if you should leave me, you'll break my heart" emphasizes the emotional repercussions the singer would face if their partner were to leave. The last line "baby please don't go" serves not only as a plea but also as an affirmation of the love the singer holds for their partner.
The verses "you heard my story, I'm sang my song, baby please don't go, don't leave me alone" express the singer's attempts to convey their emotional state and love to their partner. The singer feels that they have explained their love and the reasons why their partner should stay, and they now resort to begging them not to leave. The lines "don't leave me alone" add a sense of fear and longing to the song, suggesting that without the partner's presence, the singer would feel lost and incomplete.
