Red Sails in the Sunset
Fats Domino Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(Red sails in the sunset, way out on the sea)
Oh, carry my loved one home safely to me
(She sailed at the dawning, all day I've been blue)
Red sails in the sunset, I'm trusting in you

Swift wings you must borrow
Make straight for the shore
We marry tomorrow
And she goes sailing no more

(Red sails in the sunset, way out on the sea)
Oh, carry my loved one home safely to me

Swift wings you must borrow
Make straight for the shore
We marry tomorrow
And she goes sailing no more

(Red sails in the sunset)
Way out on the sea (ooh-wee-ooh, wee-ooh)

Oh, carry my loved one
(Home safely to me)

Every now and again a name gets dropped to me out of the blue....and I then search you tube to see if it's a song I'm being asked to play for someone who has passed on. ( I wouldn't call myself a medium but I do hear random words and phrases which turn out to actually be something intelligible. )
I heard the name "Fats Domino" and saw in my minds eye the colour red.
So I search "Fats Domino red".
And get this! As soon as I finished listening to it my dog starts whimpering and barking at the tv screen which is turned off.
He also sees and hears spirits.
I had never heard this music before and no one I know of liked to listen to it!
I have a whole playlist on here of songs I get given randomly. I have called it "songs I get given as a medium"
Hope my comment might resonate with someone.
I really enjoyed this song by the way. Thanks for the upload with such beautiful images 🥰⭐⭐🥰
