The lyrics to Fatso Jetson's song "Magma" are full of dark and intriguing imagery. At first glance, it appears to be a song about a man with a rebellious streak who is headed down a dangerous path. He is willing to go to great lengths to escape the mundane, even if that means making a deal with the devil. The line "Slack down pretty head, crucify her to a bed" suggests that he is willing to take advantage of those around him to get what he wants.
However, as the song progresses, it becomes clear that there is more going on beneath the surface. "Hail Mary in the sand" is a reference to the Catholic prayer, suggesting that the man is not entirely devoid of spirituality. The line "Smokin' down the Texas tar" could be interpreted in a number of ways, but it seems to suggest a desire to escape from reality through drugs. The river flowing underground and the reference to sleeping with hellhounds could also be interpreted as metaphors for dangerous or wild behavior.
