After a brief tour in Australia with Gatherer the band returned to the U.S. to play what would be their last show on December 4, 2009 at the Crabtree Brewing Company in Greeley, CO. After close to 18 months of silence from the band, guitarist Adam Rupert posted a message on the band's Facebook stating an indefinite hiatus.
Several days later Adam made another statement making it clear that the band has not broken up.

BOOKS!
Don't you know a picture is worth a thousand words
Teach them when their young
Gods twisted game of hide and seek
5-4-3-2-1
Sign your name on the dotted line
There's no place left to hide
Alphabetical lies in numerical time
Come out come out come out
And everything will be fine
It's now or never
Make it now
It's now or never
Make it now
It's now or never
Make it now
And what if this is all there is
We'll have to reevaluate
And if at first you don't succeed
Get on that horse and ride again
Stop!
Please will you take my hand
I thought of everything
Hear what we have to save?
Clean slates for living lies
We're leaving the past behind
Are you along for the ride?
Please will you take my hand
I thought of everything
It's now or never
Make it right
Make it now
The lyrics of Fear Before's "Review Our Lives" explores the theme of self-realization and the idea of living in the present moment. The first two lines ask a rhetorical question, "When does this book get good?/At the end of the chapter or the start of 'ever-after'?" The singer questions whether the characters in the book or the readers of the book should wait for the end of the chapter or should start living, right now. The following lines "Don't you know a picture is worth a thousand words/Teach them when they're young/God's twisted game of hide and seek" highlights the importance of early education that can help people understand the complicated twists of life, including the choices they make and the places they hide.
The song also acknowledges that life is unpredictable, as evident in the line "Alphabetical lies in numerical time," suggesting that everything is ordered and determined, and you have to follow that order. The following lines "Come out come out come out/And everything will be fine," is a plea to stop hiding and come out. It's a reminder that the truth always prevails and everything will be alright if someone comes out and accepts their mistakes. The chorus, "It's now or never/Make it now," stresses the importance of living in the present and seizing the moment.
The lines "And if at first, you don't succeed/Get on that horse and ride again" is a motivational message to keep trying and persisting, even if faced with failure. The ending is optimistic, as the singer is asking someone else to join their journey and take their hand. It shows a willingness to let go of the past and embrace a new start.

There was one song on the first JLV song that I thought was pretty badass, but I just can't stand anything else by them...He's moved towards simpler, passion-less music that's geared towards the average listener... he doesn't try to raise the bar or push the limits anymore...which is weak....all in my opinion.

Buy it.. its so worth any amount of money. Actually, buy it twice. I did
