Rat Trap
Feed Me Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When I was young
If I said to my mum I was gonna go to a snooker hall
She'd probably clip me around the ears
"Bad places," you know, "misspent youth"
All those type of phrases
But the reality is, it's just ordinary blokes

Overall Meaning

trying to have a bit of fun
Playing snooker, drinking beer
But back then it was painted, by the media
And the general perception of it was that it was a bit of a dodgy place to go
A rat trap

The lyrics of Feed Me's song Rat Trap are a commentary on the societal stigma associated with certain leisure activities, specifically snooker halls. The opening lines recall the singer's childhood, where his desire to visit a snooker hall would be met with disapproval from his mother. This disapproval, the lyrics suggest, comes from a stereotype of "misspent youth" associated with such places. However, the singer notes that the reality is far less sinister, with ordinary people just trying to have some fun.

@@rodrigogonzalez4313 Sorry, but Rivals is better because it has dope soundtracks. Most Wanted and Carbon we're great but it has lack of energy when playing the song. Rivals' soundtrack is full of EDM.

You should know better. Rivals is #1 when it comes to soundtracks.
