Trapdoor
Feed Me Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
'Cause I'll be here no more
Left my keys and I'm on my way
I'm finally out the door
And I've seen these things before
No stressin' anymore
We had nothing left at all
The party
Got my feet back on the floor
I won't fall down your trapdoor!
[Drop]
I won't fall down your trapdoor!
I got my feet back on the floor
I won't fall down your trapdoor!
Packed up and I walked today
Time to leave this town
Left the ring and I walked my way
We've had our final round
And I've seen these things before
No stressin' anymore
The party
We had nothing left at all
The party
Got my feet back on the floor
I won't fall down your trapdoor!
[Drop]
I won't fall down your trapdoor!
I got my feet back on the floor
I won't fall down your trapdoor!
In Feed Me's "Trapdoor," the lyrics describe the act of leaving behind a relationship or situation that has become toxic or draining. The singer of the song has reached a breaking point and decides to give up on the situation in order to move forward. The first verse describes the physical act of leaving, including leaving behind keys and making the decision to walk away. The second verse emphasizes the emotional release that comes with leaving, and the affirmation that there is no need to stress about the situation anymore.
The chorus of the song provides the main message, that the singer is determined to avoid falling back into the same trap. The repetition of the line "I won't fall down your trapdoor" emphasizes the importance of staying true to oneself and avoiding situations that have the potential to draw the singer back into a negative pattern. The song concludes with a final affirmation that the singer has regained their footing and is ready to move forward.
Overall, "Trapdoor" is a song that emphasizes the importance of self-care and setting healthy boundaries. The lyrics of the song suggest that it is better to walk away from a situation before it becomes too toxic, and that it is important to remain steadfast in one's commitment to self-care.

Man I forgot about this shit, I would bump this all the time while tripping out in high school when it released. Shit is still awesome 10 years later. Big adventure followed by to the stars and then electric mountain was a glorious stretch of music that was some of the best music to ever trip out to imo.
