Front man Anton Laurila came up with the name for the band at a moment when he felt as though he was a failed person, wrote something about it down and misspelled the word "Failed" with "Feiled"; He thought it was a great name for a band.
Anton started writing songs back in 2001 right when the band was getting its start with the two men; Anton and Henri. Their first demo, "Feiled", was released a year later. After the release of their demo they began to be noticed by the general public, they started doing some gigs, and Poko Records had taken interest in the band. Anton wasn't satisfied.
Their second record, "Lost EP", was released shortly thereafter and they started becoming more popular. Anton had played the drums on the demo and the Lost EP, he replaced that position with Markus Tourunen. Now Anton took to his own place on the stage. Mikka left in 2003 due to other musical endeavors and was replaced by Martin Lindholm.
In 2004 Feiled had changed the band lineup, Markus and Romy had left in October. Hannes replaced Markus, the band playing with only one guitarist. Now Feiled had the permanent members of the band. Songs were written over the course of the winter season. Though, Anton had problems with his throat which caused some delay. The promo was later released that coming summer. Feiled was signed to Poko Records and soon after started to record a full length album.
The year 2005 has brought more from the band. They now have a music video for the song Lost, there's a growing number of fan sites, plenty more fans, and more gigs. Also a new guitarist, Masi Hukari has joined the lineup. There are presently (July 2005) several album reviews about Midnight Poems which was released in April.

Don't stop, don't rest, or fall
And remember my love, your journey has just begun
The stars will show where I lay
And the rain, will bless my resting place
You'll find me my love, undressed and all torn apart
And you're not so blind to see, that you were once a part of me
Lycantrophy, the sickness holding me
And inside the wolf that cries, you're the thorn in my side
Strain the leassh for the mad
The way, the dark, and the laugh
Just remember my love, you're lost in the echo of chance
Lycntrophy, it's all clear now
And you're not so blind to see, that you were once a part of me
Lycantrophy, the sickness holding me
And inside the wolf that cries, you're the thorm in my side
Law, commands the faith
Against free will and shame
I'm poisoned and raped, by deeds done in Gods name
These lyrics are from the song "Lycantrophy" by the band Feiled. The song depicts a story of love, loss, and the haunting effects of a transformative and destructive force within oneself.
The song begins with a sense of urgency and a plea for someone to keep running, not allowing themselves to stop, rest, or succumb to weakness. The singer reminds their beloved that their journey has just begun, emphasizing the importance of perseverance. The line "The stars will show where I lay, And the rain will bless my resting place" suggests that the singer has already passed away, and their lover will eventually find them in a vulnerable and broken state.
The chorus introduces the concept of lycanthropy, a mythical condition in which a person transforms into a wolf. It becomes clear that the singer believes they have been afflicted by this sickness, and they imply that their lover is somehow connected to it as well. The line "And you're not so blind to see that you were once a part of me" suggests that there was a deep connection between them, but now it has become a source of pain.
The second verse continues the theme of being lost and trapped in the effects of lycanthropy. The singer describes the struggle of being controlled by primal instincts, represented by the "wolf that cries." They view their lover as a thorn in their side, possibly representing the conflict between their love and the destructive nature of their affliction.
The final lines of the song touch on the concept of religious influence and its impact on the singer. They feel poisoned and violated by acts committed in the name of God, highlighting the conflicts between faith, obedience, and personal freedom.
Overall, "Lycantrophy" is a poignant exploration of a person's internal struggle with their own destructive nature and the impact it has on their relationships, while also delving into themes of loss, perseverance, and the damaging effects of external influences.
