As of late he has performed with his own band, FEINSTEIN.
The latest lineup of the band also includes Jeff Howell (from Foghat and The Outlaws) on bass, as well as John West (of Artension and Royal Hunt) on vocals.
They released one album so far; "Third Wish" in 2003.
Their sound can be described as old school Hard Rock / Heavy Metal in the vein of Dio, Black Sabbath and Rainbow.
Feinstein's former band, THE RODS, are currently back in the studio and are due to release a new CD in late 2006 or early 2007.

Our love isn't gone with the wind
Don't act like you were ever surprised
I want to do it again
Yes, baby, the only words
You'll hear from me
In dark eyes I'm paralysed
Running away
Maybe some day
I'll find the key to your spell
And I can be free
Poison ivy
I know this is wrong
But your love is so strong
Poison ivy
Won't let me be
Like bolt lightning coming out of the sky
Your face and your body hit me (and I feel it)
There's no way that we could ever deny
Black magic is real, but still I'm
Running away
Maybe some day
I'll find the key to your spell
And I can be free
Poison ivy
I know this is wrong
But your love is so strong
Poison ivy
Won't let me be
Poison ivy
I know this is wrong
But your love is so strong
Poison ivy
Won't let me be
Poison ivy
I know this is wrong
But your love is so strong
Poison ivy
Won't let me be
Feinstein’s song Poison Ivy is essentially about the theme of being unable to resist someone who may be toxic or harmful to you, thus the name Poison Ivy. The lyrics suggest that the singer is in a toxic relationship that they know is not good for them, but they can't seem to resist the pull of the other person's charms. The singer makes it clear that they are not happy in their relationship, but the pull or the spell of their lover is too strong to resist.
The repeated line "I know this is wrong, but your love is so strong, poison ivy won't let me be" emphasizes the singer's awareness of the situation's wrongness but also shows that they cannot help but be drawn towards their lover. The chorus reflects a sense of desperation and resignation concerning the singer's inability to break away from the relationship. They know being with the lover is foolish and dangerous, but they can't help the way they feel, hence the "key to your spell" in the lyrics.
Feinstein's Poison Ivy reflects the idea that loving someone could be like being poisoned or possessed. The song's emotional intensity stems from the singer's struggle against a dangerous and forbidden attraction. Overall, the song suggests that love itself, no matter how poisonous it may be or how bad the situation may seem to those around you, can be a force that is too powerful to resist.
