Fela was a master at how to use the "peak" and "valley" within a song, to accent with plateaus, to use a back beat center and stretch as far as he could with it, constantly. One would be hard-pressed to find an artist whose every single album during the 1970s, every single one, is a masterwork, but it's true with Fela. This isn't just my opinion, it's fact. Don't believe me, just click on something to the right that you've never heard before from Fela's 70s work, and strap yourself in and get ready to be blown away.

ive been listening to it a lot recently and i have to say it does get a bit boring after a while, the songs all sound very similar. But yeah its fun music

That is a great way to put it. Absolutely amazing musicians.

StooGP I’m now seeing that with his music. The next album I’ve never heard by him is better than the last one I heard. Which is saying something because that’s hard to accomplish.

I remember my mother use to play Fela every day. It’s only now I get to realize why. He’s such a gifted musician wish I had got to know him.

Mesmerising! What a performer! I was lucky enough to watch him live on stage in Ikeja, Lagos! The best ever! Miss you Fela!
