1) FENCE - the Belgian rockband
In 1994 four friends started to play music for fun. In 1998 their band Fence became 2e on the Humo's Rock Rally (Das Pop ended first). In the beginning of 1999 the group made their EP debut "Singapore Airlines", which was released by the Belgian indie-label Labelman. The reactions were positive, and the debut CD "The Return of Geronimo", recorded with the Dutch producer Frans Hagenaars followed.
In 2002 the first drummer of the band was replaced by a new one, and and their second album "Angels on your Body" was released. In 2005 "The Woolf", their 3rd full length album was released by Fons/Rocky Records/Excelsior.
Fence scored several hits in the Belgian alternative rock scene, and they played many concerts in Belgium and The Netherlands (including Pukkelpop, Marktrock and Maanrock). Many new successful Belgian bands (such as The Galacticos, Roadburg, Bed Rugs and Team William) have said they are infulenced by Fence.
In 2010, after a few years of radiosilence, the band started writing songs for their 4th album "Fence", which was released on April 1st, 2012. Upon release, this new album got raving reviews everywhere, marking the beginning of a new era for the band.

Fence is a punkband from Oslo, Norway. They started playing togheter in the summer of ‘96. Through the years the seven members of the band has evolved into a tight punk, rock and ska combo, and are well known in Scandinavia for putting on great live shows.
Fence released their newest album "Public Treason" on novmber 9. 2009.

We do it in Florida because after hurricane Micheal, every homeowners insurance denied the fence replacement cost because it wasn't attached to the house. Every fence we install the owner ask to have it attached because their insurance company stiffed them. We still put a post next to the house, whether it's wood, chain link, or vinyl.

In all fairness though, Florida rarely uses wooden framework in their houses right? Metal studs and cinder block walls? If so, then there's no risk attaching to the house and would be the obvious choice. 🤙

A lot of houses where I’m at have 6” drain lines running around the house. In some cases when the job calls for 4x4 you have no choice but to attach unless you want some hokey small panel (like the one in the video). Certain styles of wood fence you can face nail and get around it but sometimes there’s no other way but to attach

We will have to disagree. I have yet to see anyone address the potential for moisture penetration, make sure they anchor to studs, or in general make this look good. Every time we see it, its a cobbled mess.
We offered several ways to accomplish this without drilling into a foundation. They did miss mentioning the optional Z post though which steps over the foundation/drainage or whatever with no need for funny little sections or drilling of concrete.
It should also be noted that we are talking about bolting a plated post to a footing. If that causes failure in the concrete, there were problems long before we arrived.

Love the channel, but I’m going to have to disagree with this one. 1) Faded paint or brick shouldn’t be a thought. 30 years from now grab a power washer and move on. 2) Holes in the brick can be filled with a 4 dollar silicone tube. lags into the house are 1/64 smaller than the fastener, interface fit probably get more moisture from condensation on windows. 3) we aren’t drilling into someone’s foundation, I don’t want that liability.
… you still build beauty fences. But lagging into a house isn’t as bad as your making it out to be.
