They released their debut album Fenech-Soler on September 27th 2010 on B-Unique. It's an album that begins with a blast, its opener "Battlefields" launching with a heavenly chorus of voices, "Golden Sun" plays with rhythms that summon up the sultriness of desert heat; "The Great Unknown" takes a distant echo on French House in new, dizzying directions. And of course "Stop And Stare" play-listed at Radio 1 in May 2010, and reached Top 10 of the Dance and Indie singles chart.
"Lies" is their most famous song so far.

The night is dark, and I feel cold
The sun is setting
I need to get out before it starts
I can feel it and I know it's not the same
I'm the the wound; you're the drug to ease my pain
I was wondering if you'll ever see me again
I keep running and I don't know why
I see my demons and I just can't hide
Say no! I wanna let go!
I keep running and I don't know why
I see my demons and I just can't hide
Say no! I wanna let go!
Your voice is fading
A distant sound, a silent call
It keeps me waiting
The one to catch me if I fall
I can feel it and it's not the same
I'm the wound; you're the drug to ease my pain
I was wondering if you'll ever see me again
I keep running and I don't know why
I see my demons and I just can't hide
Say no! I wanna let go!
I keep running and I don't know why
I see my demons and I just can't hide
Say no! I wanna let go!
When there is so much at stake
Tell me is this real or is this fake
I'm circling around this room
I keep running and I don't know why
I see my demons and I just can't hide
Say no! I wanna let go!
The lyrics of Fenech-Soler's song "Demons" appear to be about a struggle with addiction or a toxic relationship. The singer addresses their addiction or toxic relationship as an old friend, something they are familiar with, but also something that causes them pain and darkness. The singer talks about how the addiction or toxic relationship is like a drug that eases their pain, but at the same time, the singer knows it's not the same as before. This indicates that while the addiction or toxic relationship provided temporary relief, it no longer serves the same purpose.
The lyrics continue with the singer trying to break away from the addiction or toxic relationship, but they are struggling to do so. They can see their demons, but they can't hide from them. The singer wants to let go but can't seem to break free, and their voice is fading into a distant sound, indicating that they feel helpless and alone.
The chorus repeats, highlighting the singer's struggle to let go of their addiction or toxic relationship. The final verse suggests that the singer is aware of the situation they find themselves in but can't help feeling trapped and unable to break free.
Overall, the lyrics of "Demons" touch on the complex emotions and struggles that people face when it comes to addiction or toxic relationships. It's a poignant reminder that sometimes, we need to break free from the familiar and the comfortable to move forward with our lives.
