They released their debut album Fenech-Soler on September 27th 2010 on B-Unique. It's an album that begins with a blast, its opener "Battlefields" launching with a heavenly chorus of voices, "Golden Sun" plays with rhythms that summon up the sultriness of desert heat; "The Great Unknown" takes a distant echo on French House in new, dizzying directions. And of course "Stop And Stare" play-listed at Radio 1 in May 2010, and reached Top 10 of the Dance and Indie singles chart.
"Lies" is their most famous song so far.
Walk Alone

I'm standing in your shadow
You're not preaching anyway
Did you ever stop to think what could've been?
Every road I seem to take always leads to dead ends
I feel good hating you
I feel right hating you
If I ever shout your name,
Will you come?
I still travel through the eye of the stars
If I ever shout your name,
Won't you come?
Pictures on the wall
Minutes turn to hours
As the sand begins to fall
Did you ever stop to think what could've been?
Every road I seem to take always leads to dead ends
We walk alone
I feel good hating you
We walk alone
I feel right hating you
We walk alone
If I ever shout your name,
Will you come?
I still travel through the eye of the stars
If I ever shout your name,
Will you come?
If I ever shout your name,
If I ever shout your
If I ever shout your name,
Will you come?
The lyrics of Fenech-Soler's song "Walk Alone" explore the complexities of a strained relationship. The singer has been hurt by the other person's anger, and feels like they are constantly in their shadow. The singer harbors feelings of hatred towards this person, and wonders if they ever stop to reflect on what could have been if things had gone differently. The imagery of dead ends and sand falling through an hourglass create a sense of time running out and missed opportunities.
The chorus, "We walk alone" is sung with a sense of acceptance that this relationship may never be repaired, and that they must go their separate ways. The singer acknowledges feeling good and right hating the other person, perhaps indicating that it is liberating to let go of the hurt and anger they have been carrying.
The bridge of the song introduces the idea of reaching out to the other person, shouting their name to see if they will come. This could be interpreted as a plea for reconciliation, but it is left open ended whether the other person will respond.
Overall, "Walk Alone" is a poignant reflection on the complexities of failed relationships, the pain and anger that result, and the difficulty of moving on.
