After the split, bassist Adam Lewis and drummer Damon DeLaPaz devoted themselves to their now defunct side project Sing the Body Electric, while vocalist/guitarist Will Salazar and guitarist Chris Lewis formed the band Denver Harbor.
In September 2005, Fenix TX announced their reunion. They released a live album, Purple Reign in Blood, and supported it with tours across the United States and Japan.

And what I've seen
And all the lessons I've learned in between
Twenty some odd years and nothings changed
And I'm still the same
Still learning from this never ending dream
Like disbelief
And trusting in dishonesty and love
It keeps me dragging on and on
But something's wrong
And I just can't seem to figure out the scheme
Another time might make you crazy
That's all I've got is time
Another time might make you crazy
That's all I've got is time
Satisfaction's never guaranteed
And you agree
It's best to live inside our memories
And if I make it to the other side
I'll be satisfied
And I'm never coming back
Another time might make you crazy
That's all I've got is time
Another time might make you crazy
But that's all I've got is time
This time it teaches me of many things
Like disbelief
Another time might make you crazy
And that's all I've got is time
Another time might make you crazy
And that's all I've got, time
Another time might make you
Another time might make you
But that's all I've got is time
In "Flight 601," Fenix TX reflects on their personal journey, memories, and experiences. The lyrics explore the notion of time and how it influences one's life. The first verse emphasizes the importance of what one has seen and learned in life, which has shaped the person they are today. However, despite the passage of time, the singer remains the same and continues to learn from this never-ending dream of life.
The second verse emphasizes that life is a teacher and it teaches many things, but at times it can be difficult to trust or believe in it. Although it keeps moving, there is a feeling that something is missing or not quite right, and the singer cannot seem to figure out the scheme of things.
The chorus suggests that time is all they have, and it may drive one crazy. Satisfaction is never guaranteed, but living inside one's memories is the best option, and if they make it to the other side, they will be satisfied and never come back.
The final verse repeats the idea that life teaches many things, including disbelief. The repetition of "Another time might make you crazy, but that's all I've got is time" emphasizes the idea that although time may make one feel overwhelmed, it is all that they have.
Overall, "Flight 601" is a reflective song that explores the ups and downs of life while emphasizing the importance of time and memories.
