After the split, bassist Adam Lewis and drummer Damon DeLaPaz devoted themselves to their now defunct side project Sing the Body Electric, while vocalist/guitarist Will Salazar and guitarist Chris Lewis formed the band Denver Harbor.
In September 2005, Fenix TX announced their reunion. They released a live album, Purple Reign in Blood, and supported it with tours across the United States and Japan.

Until you learn about this one
Is there any reason you can't say?
I must be wrong
Thought I was the perfect son
And all I want it room to breathe
Say what you want, But I'm running again
Do what you want, But I'm running again
You can do what you want, But you'll never breathe like me,
Bleed like me, Walk the talk or think like me
Breathe like me, Bleed like me,
You'll never be like me
Can't hold me down
Scream and I won't hear a sound
There's a lot about me you don't know
Throw in the towel
Give it up, you've lost this round
I think it's time for me to go
The song "Pasture Of Muppets" by Fenix TX is a homage to independence, freedom, and self-discovery. The first few lines of the song reveal the embarkation of a journey filled with self-discovery, growth, and new beginnings. The central character of the song is eager to break free from the shackles of conformity and carve a new path for themselves. They are unsure of whether their beliefs and values set them apart from others or if they are utterly wrong. However, they are confident in their need for autonomy and the space to breathe independently.
The chorus taps into the theme of individuality, daring the listener to be different and to never conform entirely. The sing-along chorus encourages the listener to be themselves, reminding them that they can never be anyone else, and no one can ever be as they are. The lyrics suggest that it is futile to imitate or emulate someone else's identity because that is never who they truly are.
In the last two lines of the song, the character decides to leave, marking the end of one journey and the beginning of another. The line "Give it up, you've lost this round" implies that perhaps the character was in a battle, and by leaving, they are claiming their victory. The song encompasses the feeling of being lost and the need to find oneself; it is a liberating track that gives hope to those feeling trapped by their circumstances.
