Finally
Ferdinand Weber Fabich Jetique Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

time marches on nerver ending
time keep it's own time
here we stand at the beginning
and then goes passing us by
and, i-iii.
i can dream for us all
i hope i'm in a better state
when hereand now, crumbles and falls
and you, you...
you who make words collide
i knew you'd come knocking one day
unannounced like a thief in the night
finally i meet you
finally i meet you
finally i meet you
finally i meet you
about you...
so tell me how do you do
finally i need you
you don't know what i've been through

wating here, wondering about you
about you...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Finally" by Ferdinand Weber Fabich Jetique speak about the progression of time and the realization that life is constantly moving forward. The opening lines "time marches on never ending, time keep it's own time," personify time and its relentless march forward. The song then references a hopeful desire for a better future, with the line "I can dream for us all, I hope I'm in a better state." However, this sense of hopeful optimism is tinged with a hint of uncertainty, as the line "when here and now crumbles and falls" suggests that the present moment is precarious and subject to change.

The song also seems to touch on the theme of fate and destiny, with the lines "you who make words collide, I knew you'd come knocking one day." The singer seems to be waiting for this moment of destiny, anticipating an encounter with someone who has the power to change their life. The repetition of the line "finally I meet you" reinforces this idea of fate, as if the meeting with this person was always inevitable.

Overall, "Finally" is a hopeful yet contemplative song about the passage of time, the fragility of the present moment, and the potential for destiny to change one's life.

Oh, man. I hope this gets the attention it deserves cause this track is wonderful. The vocals and the melody work quite well with each other, really giving off that deep, summer vibe. Personally think it's one of the best tracks of the month alongside Listen to the Talk and Touch. Props to Ferdinand, Jetique and Fabich, great job on this one.
