I'm seeking solutions and consolation by taking medication, hoping to find some relief from my problems and worries.

It's about time I opened up to someone and talked about my issues, maybe a mental health professional, so that I can process and deal with them.

I've experienced many letdowns and disappointments, where people did not keep their word, and this has left me feeling hurt and insecure.

Sometimes, my troubles and anxieties are so overwhelming that I feel stuck and unable to move or take action, causing me to feel powerless.

Got bruises on my heart, plenty scars on my mind
I have internalized pain and emotional trauma, which has caused me to be guarded, and I bear the marks of that in both my feelings and thoughts.

Got blisters under the band-aid over my life
I have tried to cover up the problems in my life and put on a brave face, but the effort to do so has caused further discomfort, resulting in an additional layer of challenges for me to manage.

Gonna rip it open and show the world what's there
I am tired of hiding my true self, and I am ready to be vulnerable and share my real experiences and emotions with others, even if it makes me feel exposed and uncomfortable.

Lord knows I'm not perfect
I acknowledge that I am not flawless, that I have shortcomings, and that I have struggled with personal issues just like everyone else.

We all have inner brokenness and imperfections that we each have to confront, and refusal to acknowledge that fact can only frustrate us and slow us down.

We all have experienced emotional pain and wounds, and we should not feel ashamed of it or pretend it does not exist.

We all bear psychological scars that are not fully healed and that can be easily reactivated. We should take time to tend to our emotional needs and give ourselves the care we deserve.

It's tough having to wait for a particular schedule or routine, in this context it is a salary, which can add to the stress and pressure of daily living, particularly when we need that money to survive.

Referring to a loved one who abandons their family, in this case, the father, without offering any financial or emotional support. This act of abandonment can leave people feeling lost and hurt, especially children.

Had a lot of questions 'bout daddy after he left
After their father left, the children likely had many unanswered questions in addition to general feelings of abandonment, creating a sense of confusion and hurt.

Now it's just mama and them kids, and she said
In the father's absence, the children's mother is now the primary caretaker and supporter, and she promises to be there for her children, both emotionally and financially, even though it may be difficult for her.

Sometimes when you feel like you need it
At times when you realize you need help and guidance for something, especially when experiencing emotional problems, addiction, or suicidal thoughts.

When in crisis, people seek or encourage you to find a medical professional to help you manage your stress or presumed mental illness.

But if it's your soul that is bleeding
If the underlying problems aren't physical but rather emotional, none of the physical treatments, such as taking medication or seeing a doctor, will be useful. Instead, we need to deal with the root cause of the bleeding.

That slow drip won't help it, no
Taking a surface-level approach to healing, when there's a significant underlying problem, is not enough, and won't be enough to resolve the salient issue, we need to be deliberate in our approach to healing.

It's time to get up to the front of the line
It's time to prioritize our emotional well-being and take meaningful action towards recovery and healing, and recognizing that you deserve to be a priority always.

They cut to the battle and straight for the mind
We must confront the challenges we face and be willing to work hard to address them, particularly when it comes to healing ourselves emotionally and mentally to overcome any mental challenge we face.

We rise up again to the call
We are resilient beings who can overcome even the most severe wounds, call on self-love and inner strength to get through anything no matter how hard.

There's nothing that's holding you down
Any hindrance on your way to healing can be addressed with the right mindset and accepting the hurdles you face can be solved, and change is possible. We just need to stay motivated and optimistic.

Stuck on the ground, far from the ground
When we feel unmovable, that we cannot move forward, where we feel defeated before we even begin our healing, this line seeks to encourage people to recognize there is potential in them to grow and heal, no matter how stuck they may feel at the time.

'Cause you are a warrior more than you know
Reminding the listener that we are all warriors and have the internal resilience to overcome even the most daunting challenges in life. We possess that internal power and only need to channel it to overcome any emotional wounds we may have.

Encouraging people to be proactive about their growth and improvement, recognizing that small, sustainable changes can have a big impact in the long run. We just need to commit to taking the necessary steps toward our goals.
