The idea behind the music was to develop and present 3 genres of music simultaneously, each working on different moods and emotions. Songs inspired by Qatar featured on his first retail release entitled Pearls. Pearls is an album of 8 instrumental tracks inspired by the artist's experiences of living in Qatar. Being instrumental, there are no language or cultural barriers. This was the first release of a CD by an expatriate resident in Qatar and received the attention and praise of the royal family.
Following this, 3 further albums were released the next year. The albums include the triple CD Unkle Fezter's Ear Project; the ambient CD Corpus and the stress-relief CD called Relak-sashen.
In 2008, Ranjit released his 'eco' album, Plastic People. This album once again features tracks from a variety of genres. In November 2010, he released his latest CD, Last Days, a collection of old and new tracks gathered under the concept of Life and Death.
He is in the process of recording new tracks for the next 2 albums which will possibly include vocals. A New track 'Excellence' featured recently in a TV advert in Qatar - Resolution Productions commissioned a one-minute piece of music to accompany a promotional video for the Education Council of Qatar. This advert has been aired on local TV and Al Jazeera TV.
The music has featured on QBS and online radio and articles have appeared in Qatar Happening magazine, the Gulf Times newspaper, several Scottish newspapers and Ranjit has also featured in Guitar Player magazine in the US.
Away

In the quiet moments
When I am finally free to go
I slip away and no one knows
I put up a good front
I slip away and I linger
I feel the touch of your fingers
Closer than you care to know
I put up a good front
You don't notice I disappear
But time goes on and I'm not here
The sun sets slowly, you digress
While I long for more and you give less
So I slip away
In the quiet moments
When I am finally free to go
I slip away and you don't know
I put up a good front
You don't notice
The trouble you cause
Throw it back to the one who holds the flaws
The sun sets slowly you digress
I long for more you give me less
So I slip away
In the quiet moments
When I am finally free to go
I slip away and you don't know
I put up a good front
I slip away
In the quiet moments
When I am finally free to go
I slip away and you don't know
I put up a good front
I slip away
I slip away
I slip away and no one knows
I put up a good front
I put up a good front
I put up a good front
I put up a good front
I put up a good front
I put up a good front
I put up a good front
The lyrics to Fernandez's song "Away" tell the story of someone who feels alone and disconnected from their loved ones. The singer slips away in the quiet moments, when they are finally free to be alone. They are putting on a good front and hiding their true feelings from those around them. The touch of their loved ones is still there, but madness is near, and they are feeling distant and troubled. The singer longs for more from their relationships, but they are only receiving less. They try to communicate their struggles, but their loved ones do not notice, and they feel invisible. In the end, the singer continues to slip away in the quiet moments, putting up a good front, and no one knows.
The song "Away" is a representation of the feelings of isolation and disconnection that many people experience. The singer is struggling with feelings of loneliness and trying their best to communicate these feelings to their loved ones, but they are not being heard. The line, "I slip away and you don't know, I put up a good front," highlights the idea that sometimes people can fake being okay when they are struggling inside.
