Iluminada
Fernando Cabrera Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
en mi cabeza contaminada.
Nada me canta con tanta calma
desde que entraste, iluminada.
Por mil caprichos del inconciente,
en mi rutina vos estás siempre.
En casi todos los ingredientes
de mi comida vos estás siempre.
que nadie invente, que nadie nada.
Hay un monstruo de mil cabezas
en mi cabeza contaminada.
The first stanza of Fernando Cabrera's song "Iluminada" talks about a monster of a thousand heads inside his contaminated head. The use of the word "contaminada" highlights the notion that the singer's mind is tainted, corrupted, and polluted. The second line suggests that there is no voice that calms him as much as the voice of "Iluminada" since she came into his life. The third and fourth lines characterize the singer's subconscious, where "Iluminada" is always present, making herself a part of the singer's everyday routine.
The second stanza describes the extent of "Iluminada's" influence in the singer's life. The monster with a thousand heads is representative of his fears, worries, and anxieties, which he struggles with every day. However, "Iluminada" also appears in almost all aspects of his life, including his food, which indicates that her presence is a source of comfort and positivity to him. The singer then makes a plea to others not to label him as "intransigente" or stubborn for his attachment to "Iluminada" since she means so much to him.
The song's lyrics suggest that the singer's mind is chaotic and bewildering, and "Iluminada's" presence has brought some sense of peace and clarity to his life. It illustrates how love and human connection can bring order and calmness to even the most disordered and confused minds.
