Hearts connected
The repetition of the phrase "hearts connected, thoughts entwined" captures the overwhelming feeling of being emotionally intertwined with someone. When we are in love, our hearts and minds become so deeply entangled with that of our partner's that it's hard to distinguish one from the other. The imagery of hearts entwined suggests that the connection between two people is not just mental, but also a deeply emotional and spiritual one. The lyrics suggest a profound sense of unity and oneness with another person, and the repetition of the words highlights the power of such a connection.
Within the context of the song, "Connected," the lyrics take on added meaning. The song is about the connection between people through the medium of music. The lyrics make sense because in this song, people are connected not only by their shared love for music, but also by the feelings and emotions it inspires. The lyrics could be interpreted as a call to music lovers to join together and celebrate the power of music to unite people. The repetition of the phrase also has a powerful effect on the listener, driving home the message of the song with its insistent and hypnotic cadence.
