Like a phoenix we will rise
From the ashes we're coming alive
Like a phoenix we will
Rise!
Fight The Fade's song Alive is an uplifting track that speaks about bouncing back from a negative state or situation. The opening lines, "From the ashes we're coming alive, Like a phoenix we will rise," use the metaphor of the mythical bird, Phoenix, which is known for rising from the ashes of its own destruction. Here, the lyrics are talking about rebirth from a difficult situation. It could be interpreted in various ways, including getting better after an illness or a hard time, rising from failure or loss, or overcoming personal demons.
The second verse of the song adds further depth to the meaning with the lines, "We will break chains and free minds, Our scars represent our lives." Here, the lyrics suggest that they will overcome their difficulties by breaking free of their inner demons and mental chains. However, they will also embrace and accept their scars and use them as a testament to the challenges they have overcome in life.
Overall, the song is about finding hope, strength, and resilience in the face of adversity. The lyrics focus on the ability to overcome, rise from the ashes, and start anew.
