Breathe
Fight The Fade Lyrics

Afraid to close my eyes.
Far too much on my mind.
Just slow down,
And give yourself some time.
All you need to know now,
Is I'm fine in the silence.
I just want to take a breath.
If I could only shut down my head.
Get just a little peace and rest.
Just slow down,
And give yourself some time.
All you need to know now,
Is I'm fine in the silence.
Just breathe.
Just slow down,
And give yourself some time.
All you need to know now,
Is I'm fine in the silence.
Just slow down,
And give yourself some time.
All you need to know now,
Is I'm fine in the silence.
The lyrics of Fight The Fade's song Breathe convey the intensity and complexity of the thoughts that race through our minds, keeping us awake at night. The singer of the song is unable to find rest, with fear preventing them from closing their eyes even for a moment. They reflect on the multitude of thoughts occupying their mind, making it hard for them to find the peace of mind they crave. They repeat the mantra "just breathe," highlighting the importance of slowing down and taking a moment to ground oneself when overwhelmed.
The lyrics are a reminder that it's okay to take a break, to slow down, and to give ourselves permission to not have everything figured out. Life can be chaotic, but we can find moments of stillness and silence in the midst of it all. The singer assures themselves and the listener that they're fine in the silence, suggesting that they have found some sense of calm in the quiet.
Overall, the lyrics of Breathe encourage listeners to prioritize self-care, to take the time to slow down and breathe, and to find solace in the quiet moments.
