Fight The Fade Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Where is the light of day?
It's so dark, I can't see,
but I've been climbing for days.
Just tell me there's something more
Beyond the valley I see...
Pushing past, pushing thru the pain
You can't tell where the sun is rising
Night is darkest just before the day
You can't tell me this is all for nothing.
All for shame all for not at all.
I just know there is a bigger picture, something out there, I feel it in my bones
Look!
On!
To the second horizon.
Look!
On!
Daylight is coming.
The lyrics to Fight The Fade's song "Second Horizon" describe the feeling of being lost and struggling to find purpose, but also the determination to keep going and push forward. The singer is questioning the absence of the sun and light in their life, and despite the darkness and difficulty, they've been climbing for days, searching for something beyond the valley they see. The lyrics are introspective and reflect the singer's inner struggle as they try to find meaning in their journey.
The chorus "I'm looking on to the second horizon, pushing past, pushing thru the pain" suggests that the singer is not giving up and continuing to move forward despite obstacles. The lyric "Night is darkest just before the day" is a message of hope, implying that even though things may seem bleak, there is always a chance for light to emerge. The lyrics ultimately convey a message of perseverance and the belief that there is more to life beyond the struggles and hardships.
