After a few months of writing the songs (and a summer holiday) Filth Of Mankind played their first show. Since that time they played in 10 or 11 countries, recorded a 7" EP and the full length album called The Final Chapter (available on CD/MC and FINALLY ON VINYL too), contributed songs to a few comps and survived 10 years despite numerous line-up changes, periods of lack of the practice space, traveling around the globe, broken collarbone and other obstacles. What doesnt kill you, makes you stronger, as they say.

Bastard
Filth of Mankind Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The police still thinks the same way
We are protected by the law.
Which is supported by this sick system
Are you safe on the street?
Hearing the police siren?
Think, who's to blame?
Have you heard of their destroying demonstrations
Their protection turns into hate
There are no laws here.
Only night - sticks count
In the song "Bastard" by Filth of Mankind, the lyrics criticize the corrupt and violent tendencies of the police force. The lyrics suggest that despite the passing of time, the police mentality remains unchanged. The police, who are supposed to protect the citizens, become oppressors and use their power to inflict violence. The song points out that the law supports this system and allows for this sick dynamic to continue.
The song questions the safety of citizens on the street, as the sound of a police siren may evoke feelings of fear rather than reassurance. The lyrics ask listeners to think about the root of the problem, pointing out that those in power are responsible for allowing the police force to overuse their power. The song suggests that the police force has turned into an institution of hate and destruction. The lyrics imply that in these situations, laws no longer matter, and only brute force and violence hold weight.
Overall, "Bastard" delivers a powerful message about the flaws in the police system and the dangers that come with police brutality. The song points out that the laws that are meant to protect us can become tools of oppression in the hands of those who abuse their power.
