RISE
Fink 2.0 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I felt it slip away
The time we use to take
How it got this way I sit and often wonder
Why couldn't you stay
There was so much more I wanted you to know

[chorus]
We're in a world that makes us cry
We don't know why
There is a reason why we try
We can rely on heaven

Time only heals if your letting go
There's no way I'm ready to get over you
I don't want to stay
The scent of you still on my pillow

[chorus]

I felt it slip away
I don't want to stay

[chorus]

In a world that make us cry
We can rely on heaven

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Fink 2.0's song "Rise" express a sense of loss and longing for a relationship that has ended. The singer reflects on how things have changed and wonders why the person they loved could not stay. The opening lines "I felt it slip away, the time we used to take" suggest a gradual loss of intimacy and connection. The singer is left to ponder the reasons for the breakup and what they could have done differently to salvage the relationship. They express regret that there was so much they wanted their partner to know, but didn't get a chance to communicate.

The chorus of the song speaks to how difficult it is to navigate life's challenges, especially when it seems like there is no explanation for the struggles and hardships we face. The lines "We're in a world that makes us cry, we don't know why, there is a reason why we try" convey a sense of hopelessness and confusion. Yet, the singer suggests that there is a higher power we can rely on; heaven can offer solace and comfort when we need it most.

@aristotle736 You don't need to be educated to be a politician. That's not a rhetorical argument, it's just what being a politician means. Public speaking wasn't always taught in schools, yet people still figured out how to address constituents.

Political experience nowadays means several things:
- Being old (often senile and out of touch with modern issues), attempting to apply personal biases under the guise of wisdom.
- Accepting the system of Machiavellianism and realizing that you need to be corrupt in order to fund your campaign.
- Learning how to effectively wield your learned PR-speak. And what is PR if not being a professional liar? You cannot acquire a voting majority without being a learned demagogue who can effectively convey what the people want to hear, and convince them that they, unlike the hundreds before them, will "finally" bring change.

Politicians don't get their hands dirty with real work, nor is it realistic to expect them to do so, because society is complex and impossible to manage alone. They delegate that to bureaucrats with field experience. In other words, they're supposed to keep the idiots as far away as possible. Hard to do when you become an ignoramus by sheer exposure to bad ideas over and over as a part of your job.

The problem is we measure experience by years instead of by accomplishment. Most old politicians used to be good politicians who effectively governed, but they fall off hard.

@VIKIVAURORA

A man with the love for whole of humanity is a man worthy of becoming a politician!

A man who makes an attempt to be in that service, who is capable of differentiating the right and wrong and has the intellectuality and the G in him to uplift the society deserves the vote.

Forget the vote. He is a king.

The real question is, does VR posesses those qualities in him?

Actions speak louder than words.

The reason he was asking such questions because he wanted to learn from the individual to whom he is asking question and you can see on his face that he loved the response. Don't mislead the people by saying that Vivek didn't wanted to vote for candidates with less experience.

Spin is a pejorative term often used in the context of public relations practitioners and political communicators. It is used to refer to the sophisticated selling of a specific message that is heavily biased in favour of one’s own position and that employs maximum management of the media with the intention of maintaining or exerting control over the situation, often implying deception or manipulation.

@InternetMouse

So true. Shame on inside edition

@Ultrajamz

Also Vivek was a CEO, executive experience.

@nigeldreiner

Yeah, because the ones with decades of "political experience" have really done such a great job.

@anonymoushuman8443

Yeah but the one with no political experience ended up with four criminal enrichments for bribing porn stars, attempting to steal the election, and starting a coup

@southorse

So you think it’s a better idea give power to a millionaire entrepreneur because that went “good”?

@ynotttt

@@southorse…..he’s being sarcastic. He’s conveying that all those old goats have crushed us.
