Conceived in Cincinnati in the late 90's by Rota and Burton, the band moved to NYC before settling in Los Angeles. After several years appearing with various big name bands in the genre (Danzig, Anthrax, Motörhead, Slayer) but without a breakthrough in sales they have found their own sound and are fast gaining a wider following. The selection of the track "King" by the increasingly influential Bam Margera on his Viva La Bands compilation appears to have sealed the Ministry's asendancy to the big time. In addition, the track "The Broken" was included in the WWE video game SmackDown vs. Raw 2006 for the Sony PlayStation2, further expanding the band's audience.
After replacing Fu Manchu bassist Brad Davis with former Systematic 4-stringer Chow, "Their Rock is not Our Rock" was recorded at Dave Grohl's 606 West studio and like their previous works was produced by genre legend Nick Raskulinecz. In another Margera hook-up they supported CKY on their 2005 Adio Footwear-sponsored tour. They are now on tour with Vains Of Jenna

The Man
Fireball Ministry Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Falling
Trying
To open the new sun
Screaming
Ending
Believing
the one who couldn't run
I might know the one who disagreed
Been building
Tried Living
Want to find The man who can't be found
Bring back
The lost one
I knew the time would come around
And had I seen the man inside of me
I might know the one who disagreed
There was a promise that I might return
Should of put it out before it burned
The lyrics of Fireball Ministry's The Man convey a sense of struggle and personal growth. The opening lines of "Drifting, Falling, Trying, To open the new sun" suggest a person who is struggling to find a new direction in life. The next line "Screaming, Ending, Believing, the one who couldn't run" reinforces the idea that the person is going through a difficult time but is determined to see it through to the end.
The chorus "And had I seen the man inside of me I might know the one who disagreed" implies that the person does not fully understand themselves and their true potential yet. They may have been holding themselves back, but they are slowly discovering their inner strength.
The verse "Been building, Tried Living, Want to find The man who can't be found" continues the theme of self-discovery, with the singer trying to find the best version of themselves. "Bring back the lost one, I knew the time would come around" shows that the singer is not content with staying stagnant and wants to continuously improve themselves.
The bridge "There was a promise that I might return, Should of put it out before it burned" suggests that the singer may have made promises to themselves in the past but did not follow through, resulting in disappointment. However, they are determined to not let that happen again and move forward in a positive direction.
Overall, The Man is a powerful song about the struggle for self-discovery and personal growth, encouraging listeners to never give up on themselves.
