Firefall was a mainstay, album-oriented rock band that put out a large number of hits such as "You Are the Woman" and "Just Remember I Love You" in the late 1970's. The album track from 1976's Firefall, "Cinderella", is a narrative about a man dealing with the torn feelings regarding his girlfriend's unexpected pregnancy and the negative consequences on the relationship and is one of the most controversial tracks released in the rock era.
The original line-up included former Spirit bassist Mark Andes, who later joined Heart, and former Byrds drummer Mike Clarke.
The band's releases were on Atlantic Records during their career. "You are the Woman" was featured as a notable track on the record label's twin compact-disc 30-year history retrospective that was released in 1988.

Epic guitar solo from Jock. Begins innocently enough, only to spiral out of control and eventually let the horns take over. This song really has it all - vocals, bass line, epic guitar solo, lyrics and not least of all - it takes you on a journey. One of Firefall's best songs and truly a Top 100 Greatest Song of All Time song imho.

Love playing this song on my way to Puerto Nuevo Mexico...., a small lobster village near the ocean. The drive there was on a curved highway overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This song was the PERFECT JAM for thar scenic drive !!!

I used to live in Boulder when Firefall hung out there. I met Mark Andes in a house where I lived at 18th and Canyon. In fact, Boulder was the place to be in the seventies. What a ride.
