El 11 de septiembre de 2006 vio la luz su último disco, titulado Por la boca vive el pez. Este trabajo consiguió ser número 1 en la lista de ventas de AFYVE (disco de platino, con más de 100.000 copias vendidas, en menos de dos semanas). Además, Fito & Fitipaldis se convirtió en la primera banda de la historia en colocar toda su discografía de estudio entre los 100 discos más vendidos en España [1]. Por la boca vive el pez recibió un disco de platino por las más de 240.000 copias distribuidas.
