Signed to their own Popular Entertainment in a joint venture deal with Arsenal Records, Jarell βBoogβ Houston and Dreux βFizzβ Fredric have been busy since 2005. Fizz released his solo debut, Payday, in 2007 but he and Boog always had plans to work together again. Even before the group broke, the guys were planning to launch their own label, FBI (Fizz and Boog Incorporated), but when B2K split they had a lot of contracts that they had to resolve before they could be able to work. βIt took two years to get out of those contracts that we were locked up in,β explains Boog. So, in 2007, with B2K firmly behind them, Fizz and Boog began working on Nightlife.
Inspired by their loyal fans, the album, due November 10 on Arsenal Records/Popular Entertainment, reflect the duoβs influence on the game as well as where they are as men now. βYou have 50 other You Got Served movies, TV shows like Americaβs Best Dance Crewβ¦ we started that,β says Fizz of B2Kβs influence on pop culture. βWe sat back these five years and realized that fans are looking for something new. It was perfect timing to do an album called Nightlife.. Weβre 23 and 24 years old and weβre living that nightlife. Weβre going out to clubs now; weβre partying, so thatβs what brought this album to life -- our life experience.β
Fizz and Boog have enlisted some of the hottest young producers in the game including 1500 Or Nothin, THX and Band Camp for Nightlife.. Lead single βBounceβ is a perfect introduction to the Nightlife.experience. Produced by 1500 Or Nothin, the bass-heavy track knocks with an urgency that demands that you grab a girl and hit the dance floor. And while the track, which is also featured on the Bring It On: Fight to the Finish soundtrack, and βShe Got To Meβ will undoubtedly be certified club bangers, Nightlife doesnβt only focus on the good nights. Ballads like the emotionally raw βEmpty Bottlesβ highlight the softer side of the album. βYouβre at home, you canβt get over her, so what do you do? You start drinking,β says Fizz of the song. βYou wake in the morning and thereβs nothing but empty bottles on the floor.β
In anticipation of Nightlife., Fizz and Boog plan to tease the ladies with just a taste of whatβs to come. Due Sept. 29, the Nightlife. EP will feature five songs from the forthcoming set including βBounceβ, βTell Me Wassup!β βShe Got To Meβ, βDance Floorβ, and βCome With Meβ. βYou can pretty much grasp what weβre trying to do via these five songs,β says Fizz.
Fizz and Boog have not only matured musically, but the two young singers are also moguls in the making. The duo recently teamed with friend and βBounceβ video director Taj Stansberry to launch Popular Entertainment, a multimedia lifestyle conglomerate that includes a record label, their F&B clothing line, a music publishing division and a film production company. The first offering from the label will be Nightlife. via a deal with Max Gousseβs Arsenal Records and Universal Fontana. Gousse, the A&R visionary who signed B2K, was so impressed by Fizz and Boogβs drive that he decided that he had to work with them again. βI believed in them from the beginning and I continue to support their movement,β says Gousse. The movement officially begins when Fizz and Boog start touring in the fall with the βFizz And Boog Ultimate Teenβ tour.
To say that Fizz and Boog have evolved would be an understatement. From boy banders to mature moguls in the making, they know that itβs all about βthe now.β

The song "Bounce" by Fizz & Boog talks about a man's attraction towards a woman who is trying to pretend like she is not interested in him. J-Boog, in his verse, says that he can smell her attraction towards him from a mile, and she is not fooling anyone with her pretty smile. He knows that she is "jocking" him and that all the girls are flocking over him. He considers himself a young boss man who knows how to make money, and he will show her how he gets his "green" while she sits back and watches.
Lil Fizz, in his verse, says that the woman is dancing on him, and he thinks she will take it to the next level. He warns other men not to leave their girls around him because he is a true player, and he has money on his mind. The chorus of the song urges the woman to bounce and turn around like a 360 degree.
The general theme of the song is about the physical attraction between a man and a woman, and how the men are trying to impress the woman with their wealth and status.
