wow it amazes me the artists that played for SOA..i used to listen to these guys a while back. They are actually a christian punk band. If you like this song check out one by them called "Same Ol Story"

you know when you push out the religion and denomination of Christianity, and look at what Jesus came to do, not only die for our sins but to show us how to live, you'll see Jesus was all against conforming, he stood up against the higher priests (basically politicions back then.. and still now really in certain ways), he called them out and showed them how wrong they were and the lies they were creating, and so they shunned him, he hung with the sinners, out casts, and loved them all he was

Belonging to a punk subculture is considered being conformist as well. Search "Christian Punk," I'm sure there's a Wikipedia article on it.

Better than conformist punks who exclude people based simply on what they believe in. A real punk doesn't give a damn what religion you are, if any. Punk is about being yourself, whether you're an Atheist, Christian, Muslim, or Jew. And being punk doesn't mean being against government, that's anarcho-punks. There are plenty of socialist punks out there.

I’d imagine it’s the college educated of recent years that would think that you can be all for punk rock & be pro state. It’s very essence is anti authority in nature. So anybody calling themselves a punk while inserting themselves into a political party or wanting to exclude those with different beliefs then they do is fooling themselves

Punk ideology/culture is stupid to begin with, so honestly I don't know if my old point still stands or not. Music is music. If it's good I'll listen to it. I'm too old for scenes or caring about stateless societies and whatnot.

@SoftSailz ok dude "SAME OLD STORY" is by penny wise not these guys and also there is no such thing as christian punk because punk is against conformity and belonging to religion is considered conformist so they are probably christian rock

Punk is about doing what you want, these people want to be Christians and have been given a lot of crap for it I am sure but they have never sold out or changed their views
