So much left to do,
Despite having plenty of tasks and goals to achieve, there doesn't seem to be any feasible way to progress.

But nowhere I can go
No available options or paths to follow in order to move forward.

I've fallen down the path
Having taken a route in life that is unfamiliar and often unpredictable, leading to feelings of confusion and disorientation.

That no one knows.
The chosen route is so uncertain that no one, including the individual themselves, knows where it may lead.

Afraid Of change
Fearful of the unknown that accompanies any shift or alteration in the current circumstances or environment.

But nothing
Despite the fear, change is just as likely to occur and persist.

Stays the same
Time and life remain in constant flux, evolving and transforming without regard for individual preferences or desires.

Moments passing by...
Time is fleeting, and there is a pervasive feeling of being unable to make the most of it, regardless of efforts made or opportunities taken.

And time still ticks away
In spite of the feeling of time slipping through one's fingers, the steady tick of a clock or passing of calendar days continues without pause.

And everyone moves on.
Others seem to progress and evolve while one remains stuck, which can feel isolating and lonely.

Forgotten days
Memories fade and are replaced by new ones, leaving the past behind as time marches on.

Will fade
The things experienced, loved, or cherished will inevitably become less vivid or forgotten entirely.

And aging eyes grow old.
As time passes, the physical body inevitably ages and deteriorates, leaving only memories and experiences to reflect on.

I need a place to stay
Searching for a sense of comfort, stability, and community in a world that can often feel chaotic and unstable.

Faces lined with stories
Each person is unique and has lived a life full of experiences worth sharing, but not everyone gets the chance or feels comfortable opening up.

Never to be told
Despite the number of stories that exist, many will remain locked away, never to be shared or heard.

Framing who I am.
Personal experiences and memories shape one's identity, creating the person they become and informing their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

I look so I can see,
Taking the time to reflect on the past and the present, to try to make sense of the world and one's place in it.

What living scared of life
Avoiding risk or taking chances out of fear creates a life that is limited and unfulfilling.

Has done to me
The fear of taking risks has held the person back, leading to dissatisfaction and regret.

Locked inside
Feelings of isolation and being trapped, unable to escape the current situation or environment.

This prison
Metaphorical or literal confinement that can feel inescapable or oppressive.

Meant to hide,
The prison exists to keep things hidden, whether those are true feelings or a past that one wants to forget.

Who I used to be
The past is filled with different versions of oneself, some that feel more real or true than others.
